Returning Home 20 Years Later: Celebrating the FHS Class of 2003

Over the last 20 years, a lot has changed in Frenship ISD, but one thing remains- Tiger Pride.

“Many of us grew up being a Tiger our whole lives. I am sure when I say this, many of us will always hold a special place in our heart for FHS,” said 2003 Class President, Michael Hernandez. “No matter where our paths have taken us, we will all look back and cherish the special memories and friendships we gained while being a Frenship Tiger!”

The Class of 2003 has many fun memories, from football victories to the Cross-Country team winning state their senior year.

“We all loved that we had great teachers and mentors throughout our high school career. Some we still have a great relationship with. A lot of traditions were built around sports, so any pep-rally, send-offs or home games were always a fun time for all. We all loved visiting the “Cookie Lady” every Friday for some nice warm chocolate chip cookies. Some others include Senior skip day, dodging our teachers/cops to go have lunch off property, mingling in the hallways with everyone and just having a great time with our classmates,” said Hernandez.

The 2003 reunion festivities begin on September 15 where the alumni will be hanging out at the Homecoming Tailgate and Homecoming football game. The fun continues to September 16 where they will be attending the Harvest Festival Parade, touring Frenship High School, and then later joining together for a reunion dinner.

“Friday Night Lights were a big part of our lives whether it was as a spectator or being a part of the football program in some way. This will be the first game for many since 2002,” said Hernandez.

The class of 2003 is looking forward to reconnecting with old classmates and walking the halls of their alma mater.

“FHS has changed quite a bit within the last 20 years. Looking back at what we had, we all thought it was the biggest and best in the area. The additions to the sports complex and school have been a huge part of the continued success that FHS has been able to maintain since we graduated in 2003,” said Hernandez.

Welcome home Class of 2003, we are looking forward to celebrating with you!
