Frenship ISD Announces Shane Langen as Executive Director of Operations

Langen joined the Frenship family in 2007 as a special education teacher at Crestview Elementary and soon stepped into campus leadership at Oak Ridge Elementary, serving as assistant principal from 2009-2015 and principal from 2015-2022. In 2022, he moved into the Director of Facilities role, bringing nearly two decades of service to Frenship ISD.

When he learned he had been selected, Langen said he felt “excited, honored, and very grateful.”

"I might have been a little emotional," Langen said. "I’m most looking forward to continuing to support and serve the students, staff, families, and the entire community of Frenship ISD. Operations play a big role in creating safe, efficient, and supportive environments, and I’m excited to continue to work alongside our teams to ensure that we are meeting the needs of everyone we serve."

Langen says what he loves most about Frenship is its student-first mindset and strong sense of community.

"Knowing that our work directly impacts the daily experience of our students and families is a huge motivator," Langen said. "I love the district’s focus on students and the opportunity to serve a community that truly values education. Being part of an environment where people care deeply about each other and about doing what’s best for students is very rewarding and makes it the best place to work."

Frenship hasn't only been his home for 19 years, but three of his four sons are Frenship High School graduates, and his youngest is currently an eighth grader. He and Shelby, his wife of 28 years, are an integral part of the Frenship family, deeply connected to the schools and community they call home.

Please join us in congratulating Shane Langen on this well-deserved appointment and continued service to Frenship ISD.
