In honor of School Board Recognition Month, Frenship ISD staff and students made a special presentation to their board members Monday night at the January meeting.

Students in 4th and 5th grades are learning about algorithms in their computer class. Before they can learn how to code on a computer, students must first learn what an algorithm is and how it works offline.

Congratulations to all the students in the Frenship FFA program who performed in the annual Frenship Local Stock Show on Saturday, January 5 at the Frenship Ag Barn.

Automotive basics will be offering car maintenance and repair to the Frenship community.

Dr. LeAnn Fisher Ed.D has been named the district’s Director of Assessment and Accountability, and Jennifer Pierce has been named principal of Willow Bend Elementary.

The FISD Board of Trustees unanimously accepted the recommendation of Roy Bassett, a 32-year law enforcement veteran with the Lubbock Police Department, as the district’s new chief of police.
