Third graders at Westwind Elementary learned about ecosystems through a live action game involving deer, wolves and natural resources.

Students from all eight Frenship ISD elementary campuses gathered together Thursday at Oak Ridge Elementary to compete in the District Battle of the Books.

Frenship ninth grade student Gabrielle Louis submitted a proposal to World Food Prize Texas Youth Institute at Texas A&M University’s College of Agriculture & Life Sciences.

Westwind Elementary was honored to host cowboy Peter Dahlstrom last week as he introduced the campus to horses and pioneer days kicking off a study about western life.

During the first two weeks each February, schools across the South Plains ask their students and teachers to collect change “for the kids” as part of the Children’s Miracle Network’s annual Miracle Pennies campaign for University Medical Center’s Children’s Hospital.
