I am the dyslexia therapist at Westwind Elementary School. My journey in education began in 1990 when I started teaching kindergarten at Reese Elementary. When Reese Elementary closed in May 1997, I moved to North Ridge Elementary, where I taught first grade.
While teaching first grade, I became inspired to learn more about dyslexia and how I could better support students who struggled with reading. This led me to pursue training to become a dyslexia therapist. After several years of training and teaching the Take Flight curriculum, I became a certified dyslexia therapist in 2022.
Outside of school, I married my husband in 1990, and we have two wonderful daughters. I also have a spunky little dog named Lola. My family means the world to me, and they truly are the joy of my life!
I feel incredibly blessed to have spent so many years working with children and to now have the opportunity to help students discover their strengths and become confident readers.
